Hi, I’m Rodrigo, a director from CDMX based in Brooklyn, NY.

I help brands tell multicultural stories through a cinematic lens, grounded in real people, culture, and emotion.

I spent eight years as Head of Video at Remezcla,, where I worked across branded content, original docs, and music. During that time, I directed the first-ever Super Bowl commercial for a taco truck and helped lead the team behind the first Webby Award won by a Latino publication.

Since then, I’ve directed work for brands including MLB, Toyota, Pepsi, and Jack Daniel’s, and collaborated with artists such as Lin-Manuel Miranda, Miguel, and Intocable. My work has been recognized by the Clios, The One Show, the Art Directors Club, the ANAs, and the Webbys.

Alongside client work, I’ve continued developing original films. My short fiction film Thank You, Have a Nice Day screened at festivals including NYLFF, Morelia, and New Orleans, and won the HBO Max Latino Short Film Competition.

I’m currently in post-production on my first feature documentary, We Save Us, supported by Creative Capital and the Jerome Foundation.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on the street taking photos, playing soccer, or catching a concert.

Always open to new conversations and collaborations :)
